My brother was home this weekend - something my dad and I were aware was happening, but my mom was uninformed, which meant she was FLOORED when he showed up on their driveway Friday morning, asking if she needed help bringing the groceries in from the car. I wish I would have video taped her reaction because HOLY LORD, I have never heard my mother scream like that.
The weekend was full of family and fun and food and (frosty) beers. It's amazing to me how much more full my parent's house seems when Kevin is home, and how empty it feels when he leaves again. He was in and out all weekend, splitting his time between family and friends, but the moments we did get to spend with him were sweet.
I took a ton of pictures, but didn't get one single photo of my brother and me together. Such is life behind the camera.
I hope you all had a wonderful and safe 4th of July!
